torque's cheap
As good as diesel power is for enhancing torque, there's nothing better than electric power, most electric engines develop maximum torque from the point of first revolution. That being the case, hybrid petrol/electric combinations have torque outputs to envy and Honda's new two-door sport coupe, simply badged CRZ, has torque figures that are absolutely amazing. Labelled integrated motor assist, the CRZ has a petrol/electric engine combination which has maximum torque developed between 1000rpm and 1500rpm with a combined output of 174Nm.
